YOTAM BEN-OR was born and raised in Nataf, a small village in the Jerusalem area. At 10 years old he started taking piano lessons with his uncle, who gifted him a harmonica. Ben-Or was intrigued by the small and unique instrument and it quickly became his main focus in life.

In August 2014, Ben-Or moved to NYC after receiving a full scholarship to study at The New School for Jazz. Shortly after moving to NY he formed his quartet with whom he performed at prestigious venues and festivals such as: Jazz at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Bric JazzFest, Le Duc des Lombards, Festival Da Jazz St. Moritz and more. Ben-Or recorded with his group Jupiter for the album ‘All Original’ that was curated and produced by bassist Avishai Cohen, participated in the Betty Carter Jazz Ahead at The Kennedy Center, directed by pianist Jason Moran, performed with artists such as Edmar Castañeda, Silvana Estrada, and Shai Maestro at venues such as Blue Note NYC and SummerStage in Central Park. In June 2018 Ben-Or released his debut album ‘Sitting on a Cloud’. In early 2022 he released two EP's that correspond with each other entitled ‘Endless’ and 'Deliberations'.
