ABENA is an emerging singer-songwriter, vocal producer and artist from New Jersey. At a very young age Abena found her passion for music through church and various jazz musicians. Abena’s diversity in musical taste has allowed her to appeal to all different types of listeners and music. From heavily RnB produced music to folk inspired songwriting, Abena takes inspiration from all of it and it shows through her artistry. Abena just released her first single on streaming platforms called “Ain’t been doin well” back in June and is projected to release her debut album at the top of 2025. Until then be on the look out for singles by Abena.
BRIAN RICHBURG JR. is a prodigious drummer who started honing his craft at the age of 5, inspired by his father, the legendary musician and pastor Brian Richburg Sr. from New Orleans. With a deep-rooted passion and exposure to his hometown's eclectic sounds and cultural mix, Brian's drumming seamlessly fuses blues and gospel from church with African and Caribbean-inspired rhythms of the New Orleans street bands.
Despite his young age, he has toured extensively, with jazz legends such as Nicholas Payton, Big Chief Donald Harrison Jr., Ellis Marsalis, Delfeayo Marsalis, Amina Figarova, Joanne Bracken, and many others. His impressive resume includes performances at music festivals like Montreal, Newport, Nice, Washington D.C., and Jazz a la Villette in Paris. He has also shared the stage with Grammy Award winners Joss Stone, Marsha Ambrosius, Jon Batiste, Chief Adjuah (formally Christian Scott a Tunde Adjuah), McKenna Grace, Joanne Bracken, Leo Nocentelli, Cautious Clay, and Cisco Swank.
The sound of Brian Richburg’s NEW LEGAXY is like no other, only to be compared to a gumbo which blends rhythms from Congo Square, blues of Memphis, Kompa rhythms of Haiti, and the country flares of Virginia.
